About this project

Back in January of 2016, we (the staff of Al Jazeera America) were called to gather in the newsroom. The reason? The network was shutting down and letting go of all of the staff. It was a devastating blow to a news org that was doing much needed journalism. Before our final day in April, I decided to bring my camera and take some pictures of the faces that helped bring you the news. I set up in the back of the newsroom and just took pictures of whoever wanted to be a part of this impromptu project. Ten years later, I figured it was time to share them with the people who were kind enough to stop in for a quick pic.
